Possessing that all important 2-year-old precociousness, Oh Well was a dominant winner of the Mohawk Million at the age of 2 as well as the New Jersey Sire Stakes Final and New Jersey Classic. At 3, Oh Well won the Stanley Dancer Trot, the Bluegrass and was second in both his elimination and final of The Hambletonian. As a 4-year-old, Oh Well went on to be a major player in the older FFA trotting ranks finishing second in The Maple Leaf Trot and Ceasars Trotting Classic and third by a neck in The Hambletonian Maturity.
